We have 4 bedrooms (one king, two doubles and a twin) but only let a maximum of 3 for each booking. Our bathroom has a rain shower over the bath and there is a separate downstairs cloakroom. One bedroom is downstairs and the twin bedded childs room is off the main bedroom on the first floor where the other (separate) double bedroom is also located.

Downstairs there is a living room (with open fire), a dining room (with log burner) and a kitchen.

Heating and hot water is by oil fired boiler.

Bedlinen is provided and is all high threadcount cotton. Toiletries are by Cowshed, Bramley or Neals Yard.

The living room has 2 sofas, small armchair and window seat plus an internet connected TV (with Apple TV, Netflix etc.), DVD player and cd / music streamer. There is wireless internet throughout the property.

The dining room seats 6 at a large Ercol table. There is a further armchair in here next to the book case which has a selection of local guidebooks and maps as well as an excellent library of cookery books.

The kitchen is also well equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is as selection of vintage cutlery and tableware.

We have a Miele washing machine and separate dryer.

The gardens

The cottage is set back from the road down a narrow path and is approached through a rose covered arch. The front and back gardens are relatively private, particularly in the summer months. The rear garden is enclosed by hand made willow panels and hedges, including hawthorne and dog rose. The rear patio is covered, in season, with a mature wisteria and brightened with fairy lights.

We have a selection of patio furniture and a BBQ.

In addition we have a craftsman built treehouse (not suitable for very young children) with a balcony overlooking the church and plenty of space for children to play and camp.
